Alright first of all don’t panic this can be fixed. I personally found that the problem began when I updated my adobe flash. What happens is you update your flash and the adobe download strips or corrupts a registry value called “Wavemapper”, which controls the audio for all flash items ex: you tube, myspace, yahoo messenger, etc. This is actually a very easy fix. I have found that some sites give you directions on how to re write the “wavemapper” registry value but I find that for those that have difficulties with computer will find it much easier to download a good copy of “wavemapper” from the internet and save it to your desktop. Once you have it saved to your desktop you can double click it and windows will automatically recognize it is a registry value and inject into the registry and thus fixing your sound immediately. You can also make a copy of the “wavemapper” registry value from a working computer and simply replace you corrupt copy. Now if you are pulling your hair out at this point because I lied to you and your sound has not returned than give me one last chance to redeem myself. If putting a good copy of “wavemapper” didn’t fix the problem or you get an error message than the problem more than likely lies in what geeks call your “permissions”. This is problem most people have when trying to fix the no sound issue. When you are in your registry values
right click the folder for “wavemapper” and click on “permissions” then select your username and click each box allowing your user complete access to the registry which will tell the computer that you are now allowed to make changes to the registry. you may have to toy with a few advanced options depending on how you computer is setup but don’t pull your hair out. Trust me I searched the ends of the internet to find a solution to this problem and this technique is the only one that fixed the issue. Don’t waste your time downloading useless software or codec packs. I know I can be long winded so I also attached a step by step at the bottom of the post.

Flash No Sound WaveMapper Solution

1. Launch Registry Editor by typing regedit at Run command.
2. Navigate to the following registry key:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Drivers32
3. On the right pane, and check for existance of “wavemapper” registry subkey, the mail culprit causing Flash no sound. If not found, create a new String value named “wavemapper”, and give the entry value “msacm32.drv”.

If wavemapper entry is already existed, ensure that its value data is “msacm32.drv”.

Also ensure and verify that the msacm32.drv driver file is existing in C:\Windows\System32 folder.
